Adaptation Planning

Case Studies

The following case studies decribe the kinds of climate changes and related impacts BC communities are facing, and are likely to face in the future, for example:

  • water resource issues — depletion of supply and deterioration of quality;
  • coastal erosion — loss of private property and sensitive ecosystems
  • more frequent and intense storms — impacts from storm surges and high winds, such as large scale blow downs, damaged power infrastructre
  • drought
  • extreme heat events

The case studies are listed by community and describe the community context, climate-related changes, community impacts and adaptation actions.
